Gina asked about when to expect Daisy to have her first season. It does seem variable. My vet said within the first 2 years which is a broad time frame. And in fact Bonita was nearly a year and a half before she had her first season. I think that from other comments it can be from 7 months - 2 years. No help there then Wink

Hello Pauline,

Just to let you know that Daisy came into season today at almost 11 months of age. I suppose this must be the normal collie/sheepdog thing.
My OES anything from 9 - 21 months and Samoyeds 4 - 9 months.
So now we need to know how often the seasons will be 6 - 9 months span - norm Cool My boys have been tellig me for days that something was immanent. Exclamation Poor Cedric............................ Exclamation

I haven't yet worked out a pattern with either of mine! Nesp'a for a while seemed always to be in season but has settled down. Bonita has still only had one season and she's two years old. Sometimes with Nesp'a her season is quite light - if i didn't give her a close grooming every week it might even go undetected. Although Finn is usually alert Confused I will have a look through the diary and see what it shows. Wink
