Keeping dogs free from parasites is an ongoing issue. I have used Frontline Combo for mine for sometime now. However, when I read about the spread of lung worm I did some research and found Advocate. However, it's more expensive and Michael said we can't protect them from everything. What do you think? I was going to change to Advocate and now I haven't but perhaps I should? Confused

I was recommended Advocate last time I went to the vet (no surprise there!). But my vet is also a resipiratory specialist and said that he had seen cases up here (Manchester) in the last couple of years, when in the past it was mainly confined to the south. So I have gone for Advocate this time - but if I had 3, I might have thought a little harder on it Confused

Thank you Louise, as a result of your information I searched again for a good price for Advocate. I have found VetUK offering them for 19 something for 3 pipettes. This is for an 'extra large' dog - both Finn & Nespa are over 25 kgs. Confused This compares favourably with Frontline Combo. I must have made a mistake or Advocate has come down in price. I have now asked my vet for a prescription and will order them on line. Very Happy
