We've reached February. Daisy has snuggled in for the winter, now has her bed installed on the landing. Occasional walks in the freezing winds with the boys and enjoying getting back to the warmth and dinner time just ahead to look forward to.

She has fallen in love with the "Coronation Street" MeerKats! It's at the start when Oleg the baby Meerkat has the Moths flying around him. It's a wonder we have a TV as Daisy sits in front and then looks around the back trying to find where the noise is coming from. Rolling Eyes She is so funny and sits in front of the screen awaiting for the next time he is on. Very Happy Wink Laughing

I've tired Daisy out this morning. We went to Woolwich & Bexley C/Society Dog show at Maidstone, just to meet up with old friends and view the dogs on show. Daisy really enjoyed her outing receiving lots of fuss and now is fast asleep in her basket while I'm typing these notes.

Had lots of questions about the breed once again. People are interested and we need to get this lovely breed out there and on parade showing how lovely they are. Very Happy Rolling Eyes Wink Smile

Well we know Spring has arrived - Daisy is tearing around the garden it seems at 100 mph! jumping and leaping up and trying to knock any one in her path over. Her expression is of sheer joy and happiness Rolling Eyes Poor Herbert and Spud haven't a clue as to what is going on.......................... Laughing Rolling Eyes
Are all Serra's like this? We experience this every Spring with her as she definitely goes into hibernation for the winter.................My Old English just take everything in their stride Cool

I think they're aware of the weather. They love running in the wind just like children & we've certainly had strong winds this spring. Good to hear from you Laughing

We took Daisy out today on her very own, the first time in 19 months for her to a Fun Dog Show held at Northbourne, Nr Deal, Kent.

She got 1st in Best Long Coated Bitch and 2nd in the AV Working/Pastoral class. She did very well indeed and enjoyed herself as the "Special Person" to be going out with her owners...................Guardians!

We have felt very sorry for Daisy over the past year or so as we have been so busy working and today was her special day out. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Will post photo's shortly. Smile

It was a great day out. Daisy is very tired................thankfully!

We are very busy with Dulux, Spud is working on Wednesday and sadly will be retiring it will be his 150th job. He is almost 11 years old and although he does not want to retire I feel this is the time. Herbert, happily is taking over and will be in Hertfordshire on Saturday working and we have lots of work during the Summer.

On the Subject of Companion/Fun Dog Shows they are very good shows to gain experience in showing and exhibiting your dog. A good social event for all dogs. Daisy is almost 7 years old now and one of the first Serra's to come into the UK and flies the flag in promoting this lovely breed. They have to be seen and she loves to be admired. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

Whoops Exclamation I've entered Daisy's update under the wrong heading.
"Question For all You Serra Lovers"
But it could all be applicable as she loves chewing her feet Rolling Eyes :

Thanks Pauline. Daisy chews her feet Spring/Autumn/Winter. I think with her it's just a habit............ Rolling Eyes
I groomed her out yesterday and she was looking good as I was hoping to take her to a Companion Show. Unfortunately we are so tired after last week - Herbert had his first photo-shoot and I'm pleased to report he was very, very patient with the young children present and their parents. It was for Dulux Magic paint and is for the European and Chinese Market.............And for further information the client was Portuguese! Very Happy
Spud has now officially retired - he does not want to retire but his legs are getting very weak Crying or Very sad after all he is 11 years old (77) in human years.......He has had a wonderful career and enjoyed every minute of it Very Happy

We took Daisy to a Companion Dog Show today at Sittingbourne, Kent in aid of Kent Air Ambulance.
She got 2nd in Any Variety Working/Pastoral dog and 3rd in AV Open. Considering that she has not been shown for 6 months at any shows she did extremely well for a breed that is not recognized by the Kennel Club!
Rolling Eyes Daisy you are a STAR Wink Wink Wink
It's so lovely to get Daisy out and about....................... Very Happy And she is so happy Cool

There's no doubt about it that Daisy is our UK serra show success. Laughing It must be down to your experience and enjoyment of her. She's a star. Very Happy

Well not much happening on the Daisy front. We have a house guest this weekend - Scooby the West Highland Terrier. She stays with us when her owners are away on holiday. So at least Daisy has a sleepover companion Very Happy They have always got on very well together and are the same age. Although she still guards "Her Boys".
Herbert has been busy this week doing filming and photo-shoots for the Global markets and he is very pleased with himself Wink enjoying his stardom days out in London with glamourous models clamouring around him for cuddles. Don't tell Daisy.............
Spud in his retirement just sleeps and would like to go out and very much missing his past busy life style. Alas old age is creeping on but he still loves life and Daisy Very Happy l:

Sounds like a settling down for winter. We've had extra dogs as house guests. Lots of fun in the mucky weather! I must look out for Herbert ' s ads.

Happy New Year to you Gina Very Happy I've not been able to log in for a while. Changed computer couldn't log on. I've lost lots of email addresses too so have felt really frustrated. Paul Andringa has finally resolved the website problem, many thanks to him. My email addresses will have to wait. Hope you all have a great 2016 ---- and this dreadful weather improves. Not helpful to owners of hairy dogs! Laughing
